Family

In about a week many family members are coming to celebrate an early Thanksgiving with Dhon and I out in Oregon. Of course I am excited and happy to see them, but everything that brings happiness always has a bit of sadness for me. I know Dhon could be experiencing these things a lot differently if it wasn’t for the accident. I know that is not the best way to think, but it crosses my mind every time and that is the truth.

We will have lots of fun, share and create lots of memories as well as hopefully be able to express emotions with each other. My family has lots of pieces we are working to put back together but we are grateful as we all feel like overall this has brought us closer in a way. Who knew Dhon would be the key to that.

I am also very grateful for my family outside of blood. Dhon and I have such a great community full of love and to be honest many of you have shown more love and support than some of our blood family. Forever, we are grateful for that. Such a true blessing. Thank you God for that!
