Holiday Update

Actual Thanksgiving Day brought up more emotions that I thought. My main thought was dang, Dhon doesn’t get to enjoy Thanksgiving food like most people. Makes food less enjoyable for me. Of course, I am thankful Dhon is here and is making progress but being thankful doesn't mean it is easy. Our first big holiday with Dhon in this condition and not having all the family out is a prequel to what Christmas season brings.

I can already feel the struggle to pull out joy for the holidays. 9 Months of this life has been tough, I can only imagine how hard it is for Dhon. Yet he smiles literally everyday. He is a true inspiration.

With the holiday season coming up, we are also throwing up our plans to God. We are looking at in patient rehab programs in Portland and eventually trying to get back into the brain rehab center in Nebraska. I trust God will take us where he wants to, but it is yet another big life adjustment for us. New staff, new area and new community. Keep us in your prayers through this holiday season.
