New Experiences, New Lens

Dhon. Our guy. He is a true inspiration. In the past month as you have all are likely aware of my personal blog and our newsletters; Dhon has got to get out of the house more often to watch sports, go out to eat with the family and church. In the hospital the family could only dream of him getting out, now we’re out here doing all these things with many other’s planned ahead.

Dhon has shown so much emotion these past few weeks with lots of smiling and laughing. He video calls a family member every day of the week and those have been a great way for him to socialize, since visitors have been slim. Must be the weather.

I can only imagine the motivation level for Dhon as I am sure most days can be very defeating yet this guy finds a way to continue to improve through rehab and does it with a smile.

Though Dhon is not doing all the things he would want to be doing during his post-high school grad life, he is still enjoying working out, joking with family and friends, and finding a way to bring smiles and laughter to others. It’s all just a little different now.
