Christmas and New Year’s

Dhon has been enjoying some rest and relaxation during the holidays. He has had minimal appointments and a good break from rehab.

Dhon has been getting lots of sleep and spending lots of time with family on our discord calls/chats.

Christmas was a little different for Dhon this year for sure. He didn’t get to see his friends as much and didn’t get to travel back to the Midwest like he usually does every year. However…

He had some people who went above and beyond to make it special. Shout out to his friend Libbey for coming to decorate his room full of Christmas. The energy changed after she was done and he was so happy. It makes the staff and family happy every time they walk into his room. We are all debating when to take stuff down haha. Shout out to the Stone St. Staff who got him gifts and celebrated Dhon’s first Christmas in this condition.

Also, Dhon got to see his mom and brother Devin over Christmas. Lots of quality time together watching movies, playing games, doing puzzles, and just talking with each other.

Though this was not an ideal Christmas for Dhon, we are grateful for the ways we still got to celebrate.

New Year’s Eve is tonight. Not sure if Dhon cares as much about this holiday but we are going to try to celebrate with him tonight in his room. Hopefully, he can stay away until midnight.
